Recent pessimistic appraisals of democracy's future from elite intellectuals, media personalities & politicians on the Left warn of its possible erosion in 2024. Others predict a downturn as early as 2022, with scary scenarios of “autocracy” and Trump “coups.”

What's behind this sudden hysteria over the supposed looming end of democracy? The answer is, quite simply, the Left expects to lose power over the next two years—both because of the way it gained and used it, and because of its radical, top-down agendas that never had any public support.

In other words, leftist elites are terrified that democracy will work too robustly.

Last night I watched the 1st Episode of Paramont's "1883" the precurser to "Yellowstone". Right off the bat, it was assumed that a certain guy stole the lead charactors wallet, the lead charactor, promptly shot him in the back.
