Ah! Nector of the Gods, I love mushrooms! In fact I made a living for about 6 years living in the forest hunting down what is called the fresh Gourmet mushrooms the prices where sky high, and it payed to walk up and down heavily forested canyons, looking for the elusive mushrooms.

The Mushrooms mentioned in the article can all be grown at home, by purchasing a small log , treated with the mycelium of that particular mushroom, if you are feeling adventurous or do like I do , buy them fresh at the super market, or for the health benifits , capsules, full of the good stuff, taken just like a vitamin. Caution, about where you get them, or you could payer for a capsule full of sawdust. I only order from https://fungi.com/, Paul Stamets, is the go to mushroom guy, he has studied and perfected the mighty mushrooms, so you can enjoy the health benifits, with out the foraging and picking the wrong shrooms anyway! His site is very informative and interesting.Enjoy :D

By the way Oyster mushrooms, do not taste like "Oysters" the have a wonderful delicate flavor, as wth most mushrooms tend to take on the flavors you are cooking with, Fresh Shiitakies run around $15.00 lb here. But 5 or 6 is usuall more than you need for what you are cooking and 5 or 6 may cost 1 to 2 dollars, usually not a big mushroom and really a light weight. Oyster Mushrooms are one of my faves and I can get a nice little "cluster" for around $3.50 or so. So don't need to break the bank with them, if end up with too many , dry them, keep bits or powder them, still have flavor and benifits. Add to what ever you are creating. No waste.
