Amelia must be really good at this. I don't hear english 'words' - at best I can only pick up emotions from the animal and a basic impression/image from them, such as fish, play, danger, bad weather coming, earthquake coming, solar activity coming, contentment, stress, etc. In fact, my cat can read me better than I can read her. If anything, I would call our relationship 'empathic'.

i had a friend on PalTalk that could communicate with animals... at one time i had 2 siamese and she was able to help me with both were feeling at the time.... especially after Mookie died, his sister was totally lost after he was gone.... my friend Shirl has since passed on to the other side....

(more) .. and not just with my cat either, they know me at the MN Zoo (I visit often) .. I can get many of the animals there to interact with me, but the female tigers are the easiest .. I'm always asked "how did you do that, what did you do" .. It's not that hard to do though - you just have to transmit a STRONG LOVE and respect and appreciation of them to get them to open up to you.
