Hey Fan. Just a question.

It's not a problem for me, because I'm already back. But I never recieved an email. I'm worried that a lot of our best and brightest might not know that this place has returned.

You deserve an award for all that you've done. Is there any way the rest of us can help? Maybe suggesting missing pirates?

And Highwayman, best way to help around here is to jump in with your thoughts, opinions, etc. The Fantastic sails on the wind of your words..not to sound all hoaky..and Midler-ish, lol, but it's true. During summertime post counts dwindle as more are doing outside things, so anytime you or anyone feels like stopping by and saying hi, we get a push, heh.

I sent many emails out to old pirates last week. Many of those email addresses are not functioning anymore I am sure, and many will get caught in spam boxes. If you know of an old pirate that was not contacted, or even just know of updated contact details, please feel free to send them a personal invite. However, invite anyone and everyone, we are an all-inclusive resort here

Hi docnaz! I just tested your email that you have registered here and it bounces back... you should update it if you want email notices.

The email account that you tried to reach does not exist. Please try the recipient's email address for typos or spaces.

Email is a broken tech, in many ways these days. If your email address hasn't changed it could have ended up in your or your ISP spam filters or some bottomless bit-bucket out there.

Here is the copy as pasted from mine:

We at the Fantastic Forum (http://www.fantasticforum.com/1res/) would like to announce a new chapter in the FF's long and storied history. With the sad passing of our friend and mentor Linnea, the forum has been adopted by a pirate known as Fan (an old sea dog once known as svladcjelli from 2003). We have embarked on a revitalization of the old ship, bringing back many old decks, posts, friends, images, and memories.

We have a dynamic and fun moderation team keeping the sharks at bay. Many of them you know and love already: Megman, Dale O' Sea, Kaztronic, HB3 and Squidink are happy to serve you grog on any given night.

Although many things have changed in the background, the forum remains and will remain true to its roots.

We have enabled private (pirate) messages and rescinded previous plankings in the spirit of community and rebirth. The Politics and Government threads are still burning up the ether and the ORR has been revived, along with the addition of live posting during some new shows, such as No Agenda.

To you we would like to extend an invitation to join us as we sail these fine seas. Your old usernames and emails should all work; however, if you have trouble logging in or have forgotten some details of your account, please feel free to email [email protected] and Fan will put you right.

We hope to see you all again soon. It has been too long, and the ship has plenty of room for all comers.

The Fantastic Forum Team

The ORR isn't doing much..anything at all lately.

(C2C suckage and no entertaining Spike Mike causing lax participation the probable cause) But the rest of the place is shaping up nicely with some great posting by veteran pirates and some great new blood keeping things moving.

As Fan has said, the Fantastic Forum will be here for all to find for years to come, so I expect folks to trickle in and out continuously - and this has held true as you found us - right where you left us.
