Yepper - I'm here. So's lrs... I was beginning to wonder. </font>
Hey Doug! I've so far completed...now brace yourself for this, because it's pretty awesome...***TWO*** work units!!!!!!! But thanks to you, I'm workin' on it.
Now that we can't listen to Art anymore, I love to get up at four in the morning and just watch my computer screen for a while. It's so quiet and so noisy, all at the same time. It's literally -- literally -- the sound that the Universe is making. Even if SETI never works (and I have abundant faith that it will), that is enough for me.
Anyway Gwen, thanks for the roll call. I am proud to be a member of this team.
Lrs, you are not showing up on the team roster...you are crunching as an individual, I assume. To join the Fantastic Forum team (officially) go here Click on join. I think you have to have your long numeric password..I don't remember. Glad you got the program going. Congratulations on your first 2 work units!

Dang, Gwen. I clicked, but I gotta try again tommorrow when I'm fresh. If I can't figure it out, can I post for your help???
I wonder how many others on the team are in the same situation. I thought I'd followed the proper procedure, but here I sit with my name in oblivion. Thanks for the link.
Keep it active for a while, o.k.??!!! Thanks, Gwen.
So, after plodding away for years to drag my WU count up to 1000, then 1500, then 2000, I finally get a new CPU and speed them pups up to almost hardly but a little slower than Embustero.
I'm at 3060 now, and just smunching numbers so efficiently ET ought to be able to sense it somehow... and we start talking about SETI fading into the back of the bus and moving on to some new system that will, whatever else it may do, set us all back at zero.
Oh, well... those CPU cycles were just sitting there anyway.
.... um... is Roll Call over?

Great "two" have you on board! Now... get on board
Here's how - Go to the link that Gwen provided, click "Join" which is directly under the SETI@home banner, and the "FANTASTIC FORUM" header, on the left hand side of your screen. When you arrive there, you will be asked for the email address of your SETI@home account, (the addy you provided when you registered), and your SETI@home password, which is a 10 digit number sent to you when you signed up. If you have misplaced your password have no fear - there is a link provided on the page to have it sent to you.
Hope this helps!! Crunch away!

A P.S. - To whomever keeps turning the light off,
Please keep the light on at all times.
If you come in and read the posts, please leave a post so that the light will stay on. It is a scientific fact that the constant heating/cooling of the element in the bulb weakens it considerably faster than if it were to burn continually. In that "light", it can looked upon as a strange twist on "conservation". Also - it makes it easier for the next person coming in to see where they are going. None of us like to stumble around in the dark, and it could be dangerous.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter!

You guys are such an inspiration. Thanks!!
I followed the instructions, but naturally, I can't locate my password. I've E-mailed and am still awaiting a response, but in the meantime I know my digits are in the "Saved" folder somewhere. I'll pull it together. Swear.
Anyway, allow me to re-state that I am very proud to be a member of this team. Thanks again.
And with this post, the bulb is again LIT !!!!! Ha!!
