For 20 years now I've had a dream of sailing my own boat off into the sunset. Jimmy Buffet fever is something your born with and it gets stronger as you get older.

It has now come to head and the dream is becoming a reality.

The purpose of this is to let all you pirates share in the building of my dream: a 41.5' Trimaran.

The plans have been secured and the actual building should start in the Spring of 2004.

I will be posting plenty of pics of the boat as contruction goes slowly along, including a live-robotic construction cam.

This is the first boat I have ever attempted to build of this calibre so it will be a learning experience with plenty of commentary and cry's of help from any other pirates with knowledge to share.

So join the adventure and help me float my boat.

Nothing like sail RC

You, the wind and the waves.

Problem with a 100' yacht is finding a parking spot.:D

Alright! This is fantastic, meg! Do you have any pictures of trimarans? 41.5' is awfully ambitious. Do you have a space yet, in which to construct your 'pirate ship'? A thousand questions! I'll sign on to yer crew!
:D:D:D

Go for it!

Thanks racehorse.

It has been a long time coming and will be awhile longer. Projected construction time from start to finish is 3 years.

Just glad it's finally matterializing.:D

Here's a quick one of a tri Linnea.:)

I'll be building it out in my yard which will be just big enough for 3 hulls. The weather, especially winter will hinder construction. So I'll just cut what I can in the Winter and be ready for Spring.:D

A wood lamination project? Maybe you can get a local sponsor to donate warehouse space. Tell 'em thay can have a banner ad on the FF. :D

All wood with an Epoxy coating.

If I could get a 50x50 warehouse it would be a big help.:)

Mooring fees ... if a slip is available.:D

Your right Laird. If available.;)

And it's easier for a 100' yacht than a 41.5' trimaran with a 25' beam. Most marina's won't allow them.
