I've not found anything, either. Thanks for helping me look. I did find quite a few archived articles from Omni at findarticles.com going back to '92, but I didn't see this one in any of the listed articles there. It might have been in '91, tho. Wish I still had it.

And John, I understand what you are saying about the "dark side." I've taken college level astronomy classes, and am not unaware of this, altho I understand your use of my post to illustrate a point. However, this is the way it was presented in the article I mentioned and if anyone were to find it via a search online, they wouldn't find it without using that terminology. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be online, tho. Saying the "dark side" of the moon is a cultural expression (and a GREAT Pink Floyd album! :D ), and not scientific. That is understood.

They can't hide information when it's being archived...I work at the local library and we have 1982 - present Omni so I'll look when I go to work tomorrow. Are you sure of any timeframe so I can take less time looking through them? After 1990 but before 1992?

John, you might be surprised at some of the information available online. I can usually come up with some pretty damning stuff with little to no effort. The government may not want it up there and it may be taken down with threats to life and family but it'll always find its way back.;)

Check on the number of SR-71's we gave to Russia, who provided the training and spare parts, what price they paid and what year they were delivered. That should be easy enough.

I can't be sure of the exact year, but 91-93, don't think it would've been as late as 94, but COULD have been. I'm thinking it may have been 93 (I looked at those issues at the findarticles website, but I don't think all articles were archived there). I visited my friend in November of that year (whichever it was), tho, and it was a recent issue of Omni, so that narrows it down some. Wish I could be more specific. I found old pix from that trip, but unfortunately, I didn't write any dates on the backs. :( Thank you so much for trying to help find this article.... much appreciated. :)

So John...has Hoagie already uncovered most of what you're alluding to?

That.....is the most important question of the day. If I knew that.....I would have the answers to many other questions. What did Hoagie know and when did he know it? If I know it HE'S GOT TO KNOW IT! If he knows it, he has never leaked the slightest bit or even hinted. Hoagie has been directing our attention to Mars, Titan, Saturn all over the solar system but rarely if ever talks about the moon anymore. If it hadn' been for Hoagland I never would have stumbled onto this information. But does he know the 'big lie'? Hoagland in my opinion has done more to expose many of NASA's lies than any other single man. He can't not have guessed the "big lie".

I stand by my first post of this thread. I would prefer you not try to guess. I am trying to lead you to enough information so that when I tell you you don't say "That's crazy John Lear." I'm hoping you'll say....."Hmmmmm...maybe". After all, I am not going to undo more than 45 years of indoctrination with a few posts and a statement. But I may, just maybe, make one little teenie, tiny, crack in the cover.

I'm so new here my paint has not dried yet. I do NOT know John Lear. I do know Bill Lear. I have a great deal of familiarity with the Blackbird, and I seriously doubt we gave any to Russia. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof, the burden lying on the claimant to provide irrefutable evidence of said claims. Anything less is no more substantive than dust in the wind.

73,

Did you know that Carl Sagan coined the phrase "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof", I would have loved to ask him says who???

John Lear is the son of the man who invented the Lear Jet and has been interviewed by Art Bell numerous times FYI.
