Art,

I'm glad you and Airyn are not taking Asia anywhere right now. Two friends of mine arrived home for respective domestic business trips a week ago and both of them spent three days in bed with Type A Pulmonary Influenza. They are still recovering. I am almost certain they contracted influenza in the confined space of the respective airliners they flew on.

Glad all continues to be well. Asia is just amazing and we here on the Ship deeply appreciate that you continue to let us know via photos and posts how her life and yours/Airyn's are progressing.

I won't lie - we dearly miss you, but are very glad at the same time that 'retirement' (does one ever really retire?) is going well. You've certainly earned the rewards for your hard work and dedication to your craft and your fans over the years.

Thanks for checking in again, Art. Hope to hear you on the air for a show soon.

WestBorder

P.S. Please wish Airyn a Happy Birthday from all of us here on the Ship! :)

Helmet time... Good idea. Makes for less stress all around.

Art, do you still have that Green Bay helmet that Brett Favre signed for you? You could wear that and show Asia, helmets are a good thing.. Get one for Airyn too!

Have a Mad Hatter's Tea Party! ;) Your cats Cheshire or not could take part... After all it is March' and the Hare would be delighted.

The theme of course would be 'Asia in Dreamland', Alice would like that... :D

Hmmm, seems I got a lil' carried away...

We BOTH miss the Philippines and as
I mentioned in my first message in this
thread that we may consider moving back there toward the end of the Year. Airyn is
happy either way. She has adapted very well indeed to the U.S.

We had considered a trip back to the Philippines in late Febuary but as you all
know the Flu is everyplace right now and we did not want to risk it with Asia.

Ahhh.. the "cruising" stage is quite stressful. I imagine that little Asia wants to run before she has learned to walk. That litte imp! ;) Like father, like daughter. :D

We miss you, it's just not the same without you on the air!

Whenever, I hear the word "Burritos", I think of you and all the fun that only radio can be and all the great radio that you have brought to us all.

Sunday we go on Daylight Savings time again......Spring forward, wish they could make up their minds......and speaking of Daylight saving times, I still remember Art when twice a year you ranted when the time changed because of your huge collection of Clocks, I don't like it either.

Art, a baby helmet is an idea long overdue! Asia looks darling. And you and Airyn can rest assured she won't be a 'head-banger.' ;)

Art, thanks for the pictures. Asia is adorable. I might consider buying one for my grandbaby, she's everywhere and acting like nothing can stop her.

Good grief, I wish they'd had those around when my daughter was tiny! She learned to walk before she had sitting down mastered. She pulled up on things then took off. I spent two months running along to "catch" her head when she would plump down on her behind...she just kept going backwards and hitting her head, unless Mommy was there to catch it.:D

Hope the compound is childproofed, Art! There's no stopping them once they're mobile!

Helmet

Post by Art Bell » 03-18-2008 05:21 PM

Yes it finally arrived! That helmet had to be ordered from England! They are not
made here. If they were available here in the U.S. somebody would make a lot of money and a lot of head injuries could
be avoided every Year.
