Shootzoo - Art gets attached to these little types of things, as catch his fancy. Like, remember when he kept playing "This is Magggggiiiieee! - from the Desert of the Sea", and how he now just loves to play "Phaedra". This "ta ta" thing is just more of the same - imo

It could be worse! He could end the show with: "Y'all come back now. Heah?"

Just be happy it isn't Mike "thank you for your call" Seagull. Art at his worst, is better than 14 months of that. I hope we never forget.

I agree with Highwayman. Art is much better to have than Mike. Art puts his soul into all his programs no matter what. Ta Ta

You guys, I just figured out where the old expression "TaTa" came from. Back in the colonial days, people had a habit of saying, "Later tomater," only they don't say the r's at the end of words there, so it came out as "Latah tomatah," and they shortened it to the two final syllables, "ta-ta." So we ought not assail this grand tradition. Anytime someone says ta-ta or simply "ta" as they do in Australia, consider them to be saying good old, 'later tomater.'

That's my story and i'm stickin' to it.

Now all we have to do is figure out where "later tomater" came from.

All in all, given that choice I'd rather have Art stick with the short version, though.

Alternate theory:
With all the C2C unannounced reruns, the "taa taa" is a digitalized edit of Art saying "to" twice. Art hasn't been in the studio in weeks, all the shows are composited from previous shows. The reruns are only when the equipment breaks down (hence unexpected and unannounced.) Art is somewhere in time with Crystal Gale takin a ride.

Looks like the virtual Art is down again. I'm sure there is an explanation for this... and I bet it has something to do with a grassy knoll.
