Bumper Music

Post by ksue » 05-11-2003 11:04 AM

Does anyone know where I can get a list of the bumper music Art Bell used on his show? I'm looking for a particular song and the artist. Maybe you could give it a guess. I'ts NOT the one by Chrystal Gayle or the Fadra one {I think he wore out}. It has a great intro with a sort of primal or like an American Indian drumming beat. It's a female artist and it had a chanety flavor to it. I would appreciate any leads.

Neither one is the song I am looking for. It's more like a New Age type of sound. Any other guesses?

He plays Enya once in a while. The Graboids like her too. :)

Enya is good background music for all kinds of new age-y things. When I hear her music I feel acupressure needles up and down my chakras!

Oh yes! I recently bought one of her CD's. It wasn't on that one and after the suggestion that it could be Enya, I sampled another one on the web. I thought it sure sounds like it might be but didn't find this particular song, which has an exotic feel to it. I will persist!! If anyone just want's to throw out names of female singers Art used that they remember, I'll check them all out.

Illogical Question

Post by Doug » 05-14-2003 02:14 PM

This is definately an illogical question, ksue, but, you wouldn't happen to have a sample? A snippet from any of Art's recorded shows, perhaps? Sure would help if we knew where we could get a brief listen.

If not then, well, that's what I figured - but it was worth a shot. :D :D

"American Indian" sounding as you mentioned definitely is Cusco. I got serveral of their albums and downloaded other tracks as MP3 files. I noticed on the recent weekend C2CAM shows they have been playing Cusco a lot lately.

Well it has taken me hours of searching out samples of Cusco but after hearing some of it I'm almost sure your right. I am now a fan! The music is awesome! Not knowing the title of the song Art used I'm afraid it will take forever to hit on it. I'm very new to computering and it has been a really frustrating experience just trying to get clips. I didn't get very far with Real Player, got totally lost using Win Mix, tried some web sites etc.etc. Their song list looks huge. I guess they've been around for a while, dont know how I missed them. If anyone remembers the title from the show PLEASE let me know.

Do you know exactly what night you heard it - The C2CAM website lists the bumper music played for each of the shows for the past month or so. If it was Cusco and starts with a flute then some american indian drums - that sounds like it might be Montezuma. My own favorite Cusco tracks played many times on C2CAM that I have MP3 files of are:
Bur Said
Catalina
Flute Battle
Inca Dance
Montezuma
Quetzal's Feather
Waters of Cesme

When I checked on the C2C site I didn't see an archives for when Art did the show. I havn't heard it since George came on. I've fished around for Art Bell show archives on the web and they don't seem to be had. I've heard of one site but it's not free. Got a sample of Inca Dance and Montezuma so far, great songs but not the one. I'll have to figure out how to get music clips-there must be an easier way than I've been doing.I was on line in Win Mix last night over 30 min b-4 I finally got a piece of music. I just really don't know what I'm doing yet. Thanks for the title suggestions. I definitley will be doing some shopping for the cd's soon.
