Lots of assult rifle barrel muzzles are seen there in camera close ups. Look close and there will be a smaller barrel within the big barrel!
Besides blocking real ammo the insert keeps muzzle pressure high back to the bolt so it will eject blanks.Hollywood has a way with guns to fit roles too! They'd better find a better way to prevent disasters on a movie set!
