No days w/low below average, 22 days where it meets or exceeds the historical daily mean & 1 day at the average high. Not too shabby eh?

No, it is not what you would call usual, but not that un- common. The deal is it broke records so that makes it "News of Note" what you will probably never hear, it was by 1 lousy °.

We are going back to colder, nights more normal, what ever "Normal " means

Accuweather has our December "weather event" heating up again. All but one day from the 14th thru the 25th they forecast highs in the 40s, averaging 12° above the normal for the period -

Also a White Christmas looks remote - Dreamers won't like it but I'm not complaining!

Here in the SE corner of WI we'll have our first real Winter Storm of the season with 7-10'' snow total, 1-3" per hour during the peak tomorrow with gusts up to 35mph. I don't plan on going out 'til Wednesday.

Turns out this forecasted Stormageddon is kind of a bust. Not that I'm complaining! They're touting one for Thursday nite into Saturday that's supposed to be bigger & badder, citing a "blizzard threat". If they're right they'll be 1 for 2 this week.

We are having wind, gusts up to 55MPH , temp 45 to 50°. Last night my heat thermostat got stuck, I could not reach the circuit panel to turn the breaker until about 6AM when my very tall neighbor got up. I had windows open, fans on sucking up hot air, no sleep, I' m a wreck!

By this coming weekend supposed to be snow and single digits. We will see if that happens. Doesn't stop them from touting mass power outages.

So our 2nd chance Stormageddon starts at 6am & goes 'til 12pm Saturday. Up to 12", gusts up to 40mph. Bonus this time is falling temps with extra frigid air well into next week. Gonna work on moving sh!t around in my garage to fit the car in.

We already got at least 6" & the storm's big blast has yet to hit. 32° air temp rite now but falling to -2° by Saturday nite with real feel of -20° & it'll only be worse Sun-Tue

I figger on doing some shoveling starting between 2 & 3 before the snow & wind pick up. I'll haveta do it again tomorrow but better to get at that end of the driveway pileup now before it freezes solid

So it seems the forecasters pretty much had it right this time around - Can't say as much for Algore & Greta tho! -

Heat wave 18°! It is to be a toss between, wind, freezing rain, and snow for the rest of the week, Temps creeping above 0° at a very slow pace. This afternoon a break in the clouds , just enough to see the "chem-trails", lots of them.

Ice cream, as long as it's chocolate, although any flavor in a pinch will do my favorite is Baskin-Robbins pints of "World Famous Chocolate" it is a very Chocolate with White chocolate swirls in it, the pint size keeps from "going under"!

We have another 13° hi forecast for tomorrow, then it's a couple days of chillier highs & single digit sub-zero lows. But by Tuesday we'll be in a 6 day stretch of highs in the mid-30s to low 40s. A welcome "January Thaw"!

They have us down as mostly cloudy for Groundhog Day so an early spring looks like a possibility
