I have seen the Thriller vid many times. MTV played it hour after hour when it first came out. Loved it then and love it now.

History of Halloween

Halloween is the season for little ghosts and goblins to take to the streets asking for candy and scaring each other silly. Spooky stories are told around fires, scary movies appear in theaters, and pumpkins are expertly (and not-so-expertly) carved into jack-o'-lanterns.

Amid all the commercialism, haunted houses, and bogus warnings about razors in apples, the origins of Halloween are often overlooked. Yet Halloween is much more than just costumes and candy; in fact the holiday has a rich and interesting history.

Unleashed for Halloween, Monster Cereals Haunt Hoarders
Count Chocula, Boo Berry and Franken Berry first went on sale in the early 1970s, but since 2010, they've only been available during the Halloween season. This year, the three big Monster Cereals will be joined by Frute Brute and Fruity Yummy Mummy, which haven't been on the market in decades.

Vintage Halloween
A gallery of anonymous photos from the 19th and early 20th century. While the costumes are simpler, and most likely homemade, these spooky embodiments of the Halloween spirit easily rival anything seen today.
