The consequences to families or nations from the mad dash to achieve “Net Zero” emissions are largely ignored by the climatistas and their media acolytes. In this modern day class war it’s humanity itself that is openly disdained.

In the past, attempts to reduce air and water pollution won widespread support. But the new climate agenda offers few tangible results other than a ticket to downward mobility as the populace confronts the reality of energy scarcity & closed industries.

“Carbon economy” workers - manufacturing, logistics, agriculture, construction - and their families are primary victims of green zealotry. Besides the impact on jobs, high energy prices in the continental U.S. are driving rising rates of “energy poverty.”

Given the likelihood of mass opposition, what can the ultra-green activist & ultra-rich oligarch alliance do? Their climate agenda is unlikely to win many elections. Instead, they will rely on judicial & administrative rulings vast financial resources afford them.

The big barrier to the plans of big corporate interests and activist bureaucracies -- the “climate-industrial complex” - remains democracy. So instead of mobilizing the masses, the climate lobby seeks to undermine the idea of popular consent.

A rising school of elite opinion believes a regime of climate controls requires “a certain degree of eco-dictatorship,” preferring non-democratic bodies handle the big climate issues rather than “national leaders,” who at times need worry about getting elected.

Bureaucratic diktats are the preferred methodology for many climate activists. For some, the pandemic lockdowns were a “dry run” for imposing a technocratic dictatorship over daily life. Officials at the United Nations endorse this concept. .

Citing the existential crisis, green autocrats justify zero tolerance for criticism of any aspect of the “climate consensus,” seeking to censor or discredit climate skeptics who somehow doubt their draconian policies, much as they did during the pandemic.

Even as CHAT GPT basically offers only the green party line to inquiries over energy, some activists call for the trial and imprisonment of “climate criminals” in a modern version of “witch trials” against those dissenting from the official “settled science.”

Hysterics like Greta Thunberg and the destructive antics of eco-activists epitomize radicalization and the rise of cultural nihilism. Yet prosperity, human aspiration and democracy do not need to become roadkill on the road to an imagined green utopia.

The good news is in Europe, where unelected transnational governing bodies have taken pride in climate fundamentalism, there is growing opposition to Green policies strikingly demonstrated in the recent EU elections. Similar pushback is likely in the US.

Climate-change obsessives insist we roll back living standards in order to save the planet and suggest only “planetary institutions,” run by credentialed experts, can address this issue. Despite such lofty suggestions, Greens still have a problem.

It’s called people. Just say "NO".

Congress allocated at least $400 million to fix spills, but Joe Biden and Gov. Gavin Newsom won’t declare the beach crisis and emergency and clear the way for expedited federal action. The legislature doesn’t care, either. California is a one-party state. There is no one to challenge them. They can do whatever they want.

Biden and Newsom spend a lot of time promoting climate change ideology as an excuse for everything, but it looks like they are responsible for more damage to the beaches than climate change ever could.
